This is an exciting time for me. With my Masters program halfway done, I’m headed home to see my family and go camping, couldn’t be happier. I miss them dearly. I’ll also be visiting with my friends in NorCal for most of July. My health has been a challenge this year to say the least, but I am now more grateful than ever. Pain and hardship have taught me more in this life than anything in the world. They have taught me about gratitude and love, and that they are the anchors to our hearts, ever rooted in its connection with others and ourselves. I realize now more than ever how lucky I am to be alive and well. I constantly am amazed at how life expands from one moment to the next, opening up new joys and experiences, while your heart and spirit never lose anything from our bodies and minds failures and injuries. Instead, they grow and have more to share with others who are experiencing similar issues. We are all helping each other, constantly.
I’m going to take a Facebook vacation for a week or two, something I think may be beneficial to all those who, like me, occasionally find themselves mindlessly drifting through their feed like they would channel surfing on TV or a car radio. I also feel that my posts may be getting less visibility lately, I understand that Facebook has made changes to the way things are posted here. I also realize that at times my music and promotional posts may turn some people off. I apologize if so, and I will be posting less of those when I return. My music is meant to serve people, not bother them, and also to contribute to the musical community. It’s not meant to bolster my self-image, but instead to reach out to any fans of music. Maybe this isn’t the best place for that, I have created my Twitter and Youtube channels and will be posting musical related things more on those sites.
I try to make my posts somewhat thoughtful, if not authentic or meaningful, and attempt to stay away from the mainstream style postings of romantic getaways, beer nights with friends, and temporary emotional states that are akin to 1st world problems. These types of posts are not bad or wrong, I often like those types of posts from my friends here, and have made a few myself, I just have been attempting a different take on sharing my life with friends and family. To those who have offered support in this style, don’t worry, I still am planning to share this way, I just need a break and hope that I’ll feel a bit more refreshed to share my thoughts as I have always done here.
As you probably know my 2nd solo album is due to release and we have our release party planned. If you haven’t already, please RSVP to the show, as I would love to see you there. If you are reading this you have likely received an event invite for it. Also, my website just launched at mitchellthomasmusic.com, it was beautifully designed by Matt Dievendorf. I am so grateful to all who worked on the record, website, artwork, and the band for the show, as well as my family and friends. Thank you all for the amazing support lately, hope to see you soon.

I conceive other website owners should take this website as an example , very clean and great user friendly pattern.
